    Dialing-up the ooooool' Way-Back Machine . . .

A 50-miler may not sound all-that far . . . but get caught-up in the crowd (as in thousands), over-cook the start, then push a liiiiitle too hard up El Tigre . . .

. . . and all this 'fun' can be a real kick in the 'nads

And no crashing. Helo rides = $10k

The Spring Ride is a lot greener, if not nicer weather-wise. And paying for a nice shower in Ensenada 'll be the best five bucks you'll ever spend. Besides, it's easier to 'socialize' at the end if you don't look/smell like a zombie

Modesty prevents me from showing any Tecate Girls. Actually, all those pics are on paper = I can't exactly find 'em, right now

Here's three I kept when I was REALLY into bicycling...

Dr. Paul MacCready started The Human Powered Speed Trials before he started The Human Powered Flight Trials....
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_MacCready

I was in the first one, and was around to spectate the few that came after.........

BTW- The last 1980 one has VECTOR as a sponsor...

That/he, Jerry Wiegert, is the same Vector supercar he has been trying to sell for the last 38 years........

    ... and so it goes.........

Sorry for the no car related post but I couldn't help myself since today became the "I will no longer go outside with you wearing that" day according to my wife.

And they wonder why we hang out in the garage so much???

No, the shirt was not grey originally, it was black like the pits!
