    What is a transaxle from a 69 S worth?

Hello, I'm looking at a transaxle from what is claimed to be from a 1969 911S, type 901 5 speed. It is in install and drive condition, I don't know how many miles are on it but it comes with axles (not sure what brand), I am waiting for some additional details such as serial number etc.

What should I know that will help me confirm it is from a 69S and what is it worth?

    Thanks for your help,
    Mike

At this point it's simply hardware.
Useable core trans, open diff, stock gears, good R&P, about $1200?
    + Good LSD: $2500?

Thanks Frank, after receiving additional details it appears the fellow has a 1970 E or S?, 5 speed (911/01) transaxle. Asking price is $1450.

A 69 and a 70 trans are two very different animals!

The clutch release arrangement is different between '69 and '70 911 transmissions.

There was no specific "S" transmission in either year.
The same 5-speed was standard for both E and S models at that time, and optional for the T.
