The lipped edge is such a bummer...as are the outer sections on some widths. They may be strong, however...good to have options.
As for the 15x6 deep six and 15x7R wheels, I almost pulled the trigger on a set from the UK until I found out the cast wheels just won't anodize correctly like a forged wheel. If someone can solve that and nail the proper clear anodized look, I am a customer for a spare set of wheels.
Here's Anatol's SWB with deep 6 Maxilite's along with his response to my question about the quality of the wheels....apparanetly he was able to have them anodized.
'I run 6x15 Maxilite Fuchs replica wheels for four years now - and love them! They are lighter than Fuchs with a tube, have a hump and therefore do not need tubes and look very much like deep6 Fuchs! Living in Stuttgart, I even had Fuchs annodize them to a factory finish. Stock they came polished but I think you can have other finishes, too. The wheels came with all TUV papers, so no hassle at all.'

^ Car looks great. Any closeups of the wheels?
Sorry, didn't realize it was the same car, and thought we might have been talking an ex-Lapine car.
Those closeups look like a sort of flat silver...a finish that might be achieved with paint. Are they shiny and reflective? (Not like full polish or chrome, but like original Fuchs on the face of the paddles and face of the lips.)
Whatever they are, they look great—as does that car.
A friend sent Maxilite TUV documents to me today. He's been researching additional options for his auto-x car. Currently running Euromeisters with no issues.

Just to add that Maxilite are a fantastic company to deal with.....I purchased a set of their 7R's, the wheels looked well made although unfortunately they wouldn't fit over my rear 930 calipers (they'd be fine over regular calipers), Maxilite took them back without hesitation and even refunded the postage. A class act
I'd previously purchased a set of Group4 7R's which also didn't fit however dealing with that company was a different experience.
Cheers,
Darren

I have been considering some of these for one of my S. Does anyone run the 7R on the front or is it just the rears only? Thx Mark

Thank you for this input, and sorry to hear they wouldn't clear 930 calipers. Will the real 7Rs clear them on your car?
Since you've had both Group4 and Maxilite wheels, can you comment on the visual accuracy of each, and the apparent quality of the castings and finish work? I still think about getting a set of 7Rs for another set of tires...
