Your numbers are correct Angel, engine is 6630926 and transmission is 7830917.

Not sure where Rick got those numbers. The engine # he listed is for an RSR.

I can send you the production number on the lower dash if you like to verify the number on the car you are looking at.

Yeah --- that eng# does look a bit 'off,' don' it?

I'm away from my G/K, right now --- but anyone w/ a copy can check, as well . . .

Meanwhile --- I'll double-check this stuff myself, Saturday

    On the other hand . . .

. . . Our Esteemed Mr Fryar has WAY better contacts + sources for this stuff than anyone I know, so . . .

    Where is the car located?

If you are new to this kind of car, I can only advice you to inspect it with someone who knows well this kind of car.
You can also try to contact the Club RS de France: http://clubrsdefrance.com/
Even if this car is not listed on their registry, they may know it.

Was is restored recently, and if yes by who?

The 7 digit number is stamped into the metal on the lower portion of the dash, just below the radio and to the right of the ash tray. If the interior is in the car you will have to remove the lower right dash pad to view the number sequence. Here is the location and number from my RS.

I will send you a private message about the production number for the RS you are evaluating.
