    Angel,

    You might want to contact Mark Waring, a well known RS expert, located in the UK to inspect this car. He is using a very interesting instrument that uses magnetic imaging to evaluate serial number stampings to determine if they are original or have been tampered with. Check out this thread on the DDK forum.

    Yeah --- the engine + trans #s that I originally put up were for 9113600940 . . . an M491 = RSR, as Brian pointed-out

    (What a difference a digit can make, eh?)

    Mark Waring is the best person to contact about RS 911's. He has ads in Classic Porsche Mag. He travels the World for customers. Chris

    Can't recall when I saw this car in a magazine but at some point it was for sale at www.legendsautomotive.co.uk. It was race prepared and in blue/red paint. May be contact them?

    I am still returning to normality...
    I have been in contact with Mark Waring. He was helping me in my first checking of the car and pityfully it was a fake....
    I am very grateful for all the help I have received from all of you, and specially to the fantastic MARK.
    Thinking in another project I'll show you!!

    The production number shows it was originally a 1971 Karmann coupe.
