I have to agree with preS, it most likely means you have Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio no. 723931. Blaupunkt Frankfurt serial numbers were in that range in 1964-1965.

All the option numbers were four digits starting with 9.

The best thing for you to do is call PCNA, tell them you're having trouble interpreting your CofA and ask them to clarify. Many people have gotten revised CofAs--given the price CofAs shouldn't be ambiguous.

Indeed, I have been trying to find that as well some time ago in a dark lit garage. Unfortunately both my cars are not close to my home, so cannot easily check now. Where would that number on the hood be?

Will look later for my Webasto-number (car 301379).

301239: interesting to see that your car does not have the luggage hooks. My 301379 does not have that either, but my 300700 does have that (will post picture later). I know 300720 does not have it, but could have been forgotten in renovation. Does anybody know when that changed?

FYI, in the first picture in thread #5 the luggage hooks are clearly visible.

#301111 has the luggage hooks and the hood number on my car was where the hood and the hinge bolt together. Sorry I don't remember which side.

Wow, so 301111 as well as 301239 (sorry I missed them in the pics at first) have the hooks and 301379 does not have them. Jim, can you confirm yours does not have the hooks? This would definitively narrow the change moment down to May 1965.

By the way, my original 912 Mar 1965 also does not have it (Karmann produced number 450186), but that might be due to the fact it is a 912, maybe they did not have the 'luxury' item at all?

My Webasto is 01557 for the 301379.
This is some 70 away from Jim, although car numbers differ only 3.
It is some 700 away from Omar, although car numbers only 140.
My 300700 car has Webasto 00106

My conclusion is that the Webastos were also used for the 912's from one and the same series.
