    Fantasy color change

Today I sent off my 73.5 targa to the body shop. The car originally was a metallic silver and I am considering a color change.I already have an E in that color and might like something different. I know the value argument but as far as I am concerned once the original paint comes off, the car is no longer original. So if you paint it a period color what difference does it make.I am not 100% comitted to a color change but if you were to order a targa in 1973 what would be your dream color on that car ? How about royal purple, dark metallic red , leaf green, etc. etc. If you have pix that would be a bonus.
    Regards
    Mitch

I'm in fantasy colour at the moment. This is how the car came to me.

This is how it looks now

One day it will go back to Sepia, but I had to have my Chartreuse moment. Bright coloured Targas, they are ment for the sunshine.

On a 73 just make sure you do the COMPLETE trunk and engine bay as those areas were body color in 73. Doing the entire trunk compartment is no small feat. Everything must come out all the way back to the gauges.

Glass is out, engine out and trunk is empty. Inner fender wells should i body color or wurth schulz ?
Rico , that multicolor car would make it so I wouldnt feel like I was missing out on anything. Although I may have to change my sexual orientation

Inner fenders were body color without any of the blackout over them that had been done up thru 72. Don't forget the blackout behind cowl vent, behind horn grills, and around inner door edges.
