I absolutely adore leaf green, and have actually considered painting my original tangerine E that color just because I like it so much. Do whatever YOU LIKE, that's what matters.

My 70T was originally Leaf Green, could not deal with that and I ended up with BMW arctic silver.. Told myself that if the car was a cool original color, I would have stuck with that.
Eye of the beholder and all that...
As an ex car painter I must also chime in. Changing the original color of a car is a massive feat to do correctly. Inner door jambs must also be done which requires removal of the compliance sticker (if you're fortunate enough to still have yours). Back of the doors must be done. The back of the decklid, the back of the hood all must be repainted.
All that Ed has said is correct (is he ever wrong?). The car basically has to be completely dismantled, paint costs and materials are higher as are labor costs (much, much higher).
I completely understand your dilemna, that you already have a silver car and having two silver early longhoods isn't what you want. Beauty truly is in the eyes of the beholder, so if you're going to go through this big of a job, get what you want, not what anybody else wants.
I love all the greens. But I'm obviously a big fan of Mexico Blue.

This is like my 10th early car so i am familiar with the process. Thanks for the info.
Mexico blue looks tasty but is it period correct ?
Any royal purple fans or pix out there ?
I think Mexico Blue was 74-75.... 73.5 is pretty close.

My '69E Targa is going back to its special order Golden Green. Olive Green is also very cool. They're not "bright" colors but very period and very un-common.
