I keep a registry of 1972 and 1973 2.4 S coupé chassis. Infos always welcome!!!
That's cool, looks like two more options.
Can anyone confirm that address for that Metabo power tool company?
Now this looks even more clear - I'd say this was Ms. Heller's car.
http://www.heller.biz
Heller is the main employer in that region they produce machining stuff.
I can ask a Friend whether Heller has been in the Neuffener Str. before - he had his business down the road.
Cheers
Uli
Sounds interesting so far, if anyone else has a heavily optioned car, please post.
Does anyone know what the cost of these options would have been back in '67?
I heard sport seats were around $90, but I'm not sure, it would be fun to see what all of these options added up to when new.
Thank you for looking into the Heller thing for me Uli.
I dug through my Porsche Literature and I found an Accessories booklet from 1966. I picked out all of the ones on this car:
Dunlop Tires -------------------- $27
Outside Thermometer ----------- $18.75
Travel Kit ---------------------- $36.25
Rear Window Wiper ------------- $45.00
Loudspeaker ------------------- $8.75
Becker Radio "Grand Prix" ------- $198.75
Sunroof ----------------------- $246.25
100 Liter Tank ----------------- $74.50
Rear Window Defroster --------- $62.50
Tinted Glass ------------------- $47.50
Leather Seats ----------------- $97.50
Sun Visor --------------------- $.75
total: $863.50
But, there are a few missing items:
Electric Antenna
LSD
Full Leather (I saw "Leather Seats," but not "All Leather Upholstery")
Sport Seats
I am thinking this car was over $9,000 when new. I think a base model S was about $8,000, $7,800 maybe?
I found a base price of $7,255 in a Car and Driver article from '67. That was an expensive car back in the day.
Executive optioned 911?
