Thread: Drop in 911 Values

  1. #21
Ya, a 356 meeting looks like a tea party at an Elderly Folks Home, an AARP convention or the like. And I am one of them. Had Porsches since '64 and still like them. So what to do? Drive more talk less. I just wish Porsche would build something I might buy. I'm just not interested in the new stuff...yet.

This is actually good news as it means that enthusiasts don't stop on their projects just because there's a blip on the radar.
The only caveat for this is if supply gets bloated. (As we've seen with Solex carbs recently. What's with that?)
nuts. well, I should finish mine somewhere around 2030. until then, burnouts!

IF you are lucky enough to live to be "old" you may one day look back and think: "Man, I did some stupid shit in my day". "Why am I still here?" LOL

I would unequivocally state that most of the elder vintage car crowd are a hell of a lot more interesting than a majority of 20 or 30 somethings I've met. Their predecessors probably felt the same way about me.

Sure, they have more (years) behind them than ahead but I guarantee few would trade places. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and wouldn't do it again.

I enjoy conversing with all people but more-so with someone I can learn from. Young whipper-snappers, most of whom, think with the small head hold little in the way of real insight. Give me an 80 year old and I'll guarantee he or she knows things you've never thought or heard of.

Somebody asked me if I'd like to be in my 20's all over again. I said; "Hell No".

If they told me I could go back and know what I know now....hmmmm.

Is there any idea just how many of the 74,510 units of Early 911 production numbers ('64-'73) that are still accounted for? 25% 50% or 75%? I guess the accounted numbers I am speaking of, include those that would be "rollers" or better.
