Been viewing this thread since it was first started. Been trying real hard to understand who the op is suppose to be. Several posters have used this term! This is frustrating & distracts from my enjoyment reading this & makes it a drama!/ mystery. If it were a 4 letter clue I could maybe fill in the blanks.
Just perhaps figured it out and now it kinda makes since. So to all op's & Jay too; what a find! What does the dash area look like thirty years hence? .......cliff

Shoooo32 you are wise my friend. Back then, I beat 005 like it owned me money. Think of the first Rocky movie; never quit, never went down always came back for more. Bullet proof. What's amazing is, outside of maintenance, 005 never broke, never let me down.

    Thanks for the kind words

Jay, you're killin me with the cliff hanger! I for one can't wait to hear more about it. I loved the honesty and innocence of the original post and still love the humility of it today. Many people would let their ego get way ahead of them but I love what you said here.

"For me it’s about the experience with the car. Does everybody remember their first ride in a Porsche? Their first drive? The first one they bought? The sound of the engine in the cabin, the experience of a road trip, autocross, road rally? The first time you really hung it out there and said”Ohshit?” I do. Like it was yesterday."
