    I asked her today to try and get the color code. Her car is buried in the garage with a ton of dust on it. She didn't sound thrilled at the idea. She swears up and down that it was painted the same color as her '69 911 in Champagne Beige as an insurance replacement car.

    If you ask her to turn the camera around 180 degrees, there should be a plate with the paint code. It will look like this:

    Looks like Sahara Beige - Desert beige in the US
    A standard colour in 1974-75 - not uncommon
    I had a '75 in the same colour for 13 years

    Would they respray an existing car for an insurance replacement? Like I said earlier, this car was to replace her '69 that was totaled and she requested it be the same color. I should be getting the color code from her today with any luck. I told her to look in the driver side door pillar area and didn't know there would be both the color code and the serial number plates/stickers so she took a photo of what she presumed to be it...
