    Where to ground TTG fogs

My factory wire harness for the fog lights has a green/white wire as well as a brown wire (ground). Where should I be connecting the ground wire for each side? The lights have just one wire exiting the lights. Thanks

    Bob,

The factory intended that the ground wire connect to a ground spade attached to the interior of the light case. That is why factory supplied lights had a larger wire grommet than the aftermarket versions. Depending on the how the wires enter your lights, maybe you could enlarge the wire entrance and figure out a way to attach it to your cases.

Otherwise, they will most probably work without the ground wire attached with the case to chassis connection providing the circuit return.

With the brackets powder coated will that create a good enough ground?

I wouldn't trust it myself. I would try to figure out a way to attach the ground wire like the Good Doc wanted.

Some of the factory lights grounded to a spade attached to one of the case rivets and some attached to a spade mounted directly on the reflector. This was dependent on the light itself and how it was made.
