Need Help with Early 911 Engine Complete

I recently purchase a 1969 912 sight unseen that had a six install at some time. After getting the car shipped to the shop I found out it has a engine number of 900484, it would be nice to get the engine back to the original car or at least a period correct car that needs an engine. I am sure that there will be a lot of questions that I cannot answer due to my lack of Porsche tech savy but I will do my best. I am currently having the engine removed from the car for further inspection.

Early '65 built type 901/01 solex engine. Will be a real find if the original car can be mated to that engine.
