    303500 found ex racer

    I just bought this car:

    1966 Porsche 911, very early vin #303500 engine #903639 901/01 build #3541

Matching number Aga Blue, one of my favorite colors, half of the paint is original, loads of patina

Ex Southern California race car, off the road since 1978, black plates

Came with a set of 7R Fuchs, long wheel studs, vintage flat MOMO, Sheel bucket seat, bolt in roll bar, double adjustable Konis, most of the car is still there as it was not heavily stripped, even has the Webasto in place

Original engine/trans came with the car, solex carbs - air cleaner - fuel pump and all still there

Anyone who raced in the southwest 36+ years ago remember 106F? I wonder where I might be able to find old pictures at some track?

I have no history, this car went through at least 2 flips before I bought it. Owner told a number of stories to the first buyer but I got very little down the line, I hear he was up there in age

What do do now? Get the engine running and bring it to Rennsport? Or restore it? I haven't washed it yet. Best route now is most likely a full restoration to better than new standards, the race history is really cool but so would a perfectly restored original 66 911.
