    Fuel Pump Rebuild

    Thanks for the tip !! I will give them a call !! I hope that they can also restore the bracket. This is original to the car and is somewhat crusty. I noticed that Porsche sells one for about $717 on Pelican. I wonder if just buying a new one is better. But that crusty bracket !! Ha, ha !! George

    George, I just bought a new bracket from Porsche and the soft mounts as well. I bought my fuel pump for MFI (you didn't mention your application. Got the best price from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. German pump. Go with new for reliability and restore your original pieces and put them in a box.
    From the looks of the pump, you should probably clean the fuel tank and change all the hoses and filter. No sense trashing a good pump. If you are running carbs then don't worry about the Sunset comment.

    Thanks to Rusty for putting me in touch with Sunset Porsche. I bought one from them at a much better price than Pelican. This forum is great !! More pics to come from the 1971 S project !! George K
