    What ya do is go to Walmart and get a can of this, it has the right tanish color. A thin spotty coat then some fine steel wool or light solvent to give it that uneven used look.

    I like Gibbs... It matches the JB Weld on the blades where an 'expert' changed the fan belt.

    I see that some of Mark's fans are close to black in color (upper left in the picture below). Was this ever an original finish? I ask because my fan is very dark, almost black and the finish looks original.
