911L Australian delivery - did they have the pollution gear?

Hi All, reading a lot about all the pollution gear the US 911L had and was wondering....does anyone know if the Aussie cars had the same gear as delivered?

    Cheers

I would doubt it - my guess is the 68MY pollution gear was primarily for US market cars - specifically CA delivered cars - I don't believe it was applicable for any other market - others with more knowledge will way in

Boxster03 is right ... the smog pump in the '68 911L was for the US-version only. Like most others, I ripped it out and retuned the carbs and distributor to run smoothly without it (but I'm keeping the original gear in case I ever wanna go back to the full original set up!)

Yep, my 68 from SoCal had the pump fitted on delivery and was removed by the PO some time in the 90's. I have completed the de-installation with proper blank-off inserts and plates.
