I bought these several years ago because pictures also included a famous racer was testing his fairly new 908 at this Riverside event. He retired secondary to gearbox failure. Can anyone guess who he is/was ?? George Kehler 1971 911 S

Boy, I'm not sure.... The pics seem to be 1970....
I do know that John Morton was testing Vasek's highly modified 906 'super wedge' at that time... And also Bert Ohlander had his 906.... But not sure about a 908.. hmmmmm... Unless it was Tony Dean ???

    GREAT pics George thanks man.....

Great photos, thanks for posting them.

The silver 904 was 906-011, a factory 6-cylinder car sold to Vasek Polak without an engine. Notice the larger 6-cylinder air intakes.
He installed a 4-cam in it for SCCA racing, then sold it to Gerry Gregory in 1969.
I rebuilt the transmission in this car about 20 years ago, when it was owned by Jeff Lewis.

Yes, Jon !! You are the winner !! He had his car at this event. I have some very nice pics of him in the pits signing autographs and driving the car in a straight. I copyrighted these images and will post when I know how to place a watermark on digital pics. Way to go Jon !!
