Are these Fuchs 15x7R 911R rims?

    Hi all,

after 18 years of restoration of my 911T 2.0 from ’69, I am almost ready and started to check and inspect my Fuchs rims.

Now after some reading I tried to find stampings on my rims. I could not find any, except the fabrication date stamped neer the center cap hole (see picture).
Now I read some stories about no stamping on these rims and only rubber stamps that fade away over the years. My spare wheel is an 15x5.5J fuchs with all the stamping (including fox head) in.
Comparing these to rims on shape/indentions from the forging on the inner side and the paint patterns on the inner side they are 100% identical…..
The measured ET(Einpress Tiefe) is approx. 31.1 mm [ |(7*25.4)/2 - 120(=measured distance from rim edge to hub contactarea)|
What I understood is that 7R’s (should) have a ET of 49.
The date stamp (see picture) are on two wheels different but at the same position. Another rim has 3.68 (March 1968 I guess. However the rim on the pictures ha
I made some pictures for clarification.

If someone could shine some light on this I would be grateful ;-))

    Cheers,

    Bart,

Those are not 7R wheels. Having said that, I do think they are real Fuchs. Some 4.5s and 6Rs came with ink stamps instead of PNs in the forging so, that's not out of the ordinary. Wouldn't surprise me if some early 5.5s had ink stamps as well.
