    Targa Top Vinyl - Transition from smooth to rough grain?

    Does anyone have any factory information that definitively confirms the year that Porsche changed the targa top vinyl from the smoother type to the rougher, pebbled grain? Thank you!

    Closing the loop on this posting, I contacted Porsche Classic who advised the change from smooth to rougher grained vinyl on Targa tops started with model year 1972. This was independently reinforced by Dave Brown, who many of you know as one of the best in the Targa top restoration business.
