Factory built 66S and 67S for european customers

    Hi,
I'm a member for many years but had no activity. After finishing the restoration of my 67 S, I read a lot of interesting things in this wonderful forum especially about SWB "S" cars. I think that most of the cars are in the States. Now I decided to start a thread about 66 and 67S cars built for European customers. I'm interested in finding out how many cars there are actually here in Europe (maybe with vin and engine number).
I start with my car who is a French export car with special tail lights and with km instead of miles. Vin 307955 S engine 961611.

My dream is to organize one day an early S meeting in Europe (maybe even in Stuttgart) , so please give me notice ;-)

Thank you Dennis. The car came from France to Luxembourg and had only 3 owners. First owner was a French guy who used the car in local races. He died in another car during a race but I don't know his name. Then the car was sold to Luxembourg. I even spoke to this owner who could not believe that the car still exists. He sold it in the 80s to another guy who I know personally. This guy painted the car from polo red to green and then to white. Here is a picture of the car when I bought it in 1999.

Two pictures where the owner just began to paint the car from green to white outside in the garden. Second picture was his wife with the car in the 80ies. I got these pictures from the 3 owner ;-)
