The End of Car Ownership is Upon Us

... at least according to GM attorneys. GM says that when you pay cash for one of their shiny new vehicles today, you are not actually buying it. You are only buying a license to use it. GM still owns the vehicle. It's all about copyright protection and proprietary software that runs today's cars. I truly see a day in the near future where the only option will be to lease a vehicle from a manufacturer.

With programs like Onstar, they can shut it down and lock you out.
    It's here already!

With all of GM's problems of late, from the ignition assemblies causing people to die while trying to control locked steering wheels to their new 55,000 dollar pickups with defective software going bonkers and deactivating cylinders at the wrong time. Ruining brand new engines ( some while unloading off the transport ), I would suggest they put their efforts towards a more significant pattern of achievement.

But, that may be just me.

Until they improve dramatically along the lines of rational thinking , I will utilize a Toyota appliance for proper, fail safe driving of the grocery getting kind ........... and let John Deere and GM decide how they are going to screw their customer base even further into that deep dark hole they have created for themselves.
