I would say an '84-'89 Carrera oil tank. They had a fitting to provide warm air to the throttle body to prevent icing in cold weather.

I wasn't sure if I should post this question here or start a new thread. Since it is closely related to the original topic, I thought I would try here first.
Does anyone know if the oil filter consoles used on the early '73 tanks is different than the consoles used on the '71 & earlier tanks for T/E (no cooler)? PET shows 911.107.671.00 for the '73 console, and 911.107.025.00 for -71 T/E console, so they appear to be different.
I am looking for a console for my early '73 tank, and I thought any external console would work. Sierra Madre sells a re-manufactured console 901.107.025.00 and states that it fits '65 -'76, but I believe this part is supplied by member Marek who claims that it fits '65-'71, so I'm a bit confused.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I think I figured this out. From what I have been able to determine, the difference between the '71 & earlier consoles vs the '73 console is the thread size used for the oil filter as follows:
- -'71 Console: Uses earlier oil filter (OC-61) with a thread size of 3/4-16
- '73- Console: Uses later oil filter (OC-54) with thread size of 1-12
You can see the difference is the photos of the two consoles below. The first two photos are of the '71 & earlier T&E console. The third photo is of the '73 console. Notice that the flats on the hex part of the oil filter fitting for the '73 console extend nearly all the way to the holes in the casting, where as the this same part on the '71 console is smaller. The thread pitch for the '71 is also higher (more TPI) than the '73.
If I got this wrong, please let me know. But otherwise, I wanted to post this in case it helps someone else when trying to locate the correct console for their oil tank.

addressing one of the original questions, i think the tanks with the curved leading edge are SWB. straight edge is LWB.
i would be happy to be wrong.
Everything I have found shows the curved edge to be '68 and earlier SWB, and straight edge is '69-71 LWB.
As for the '73 filter console, thanks for the information on the difference. I knew there was a change in filters.
There also seems to be another console for the '71 and earlier with a front oil cooler.

looks like esully has the same information as me.
would someone please tell my wife i answered a question correctly?
In case it's not obvious, I should also point out that the '71 filter console in the photo I posted above is for a T or E (no front cooler), as the S had a console with plumbing for the front cooler lines. I edited my post to reflect this.
For '73, the same console could be used for T/E/S because an external auxiliary oil thermostat was used that was mounted at the front of the tank (not good) for models with a front cooler. For the G series, the aux thermostat was moved to its final resting location forward of the right rear wheel.
Like the '73 tank, this makes the '73 filter console a one year (6 month?) only part.
