Apparently is this the first - so far - known 901 (911) delivered to the US (Culver City). This car is the car that was shown on the LA auto show of late '64. Any one have some articles re. that show that he can post? BTW 013 was delivered 6404, hell elfenbein.

    What did it sell for?

Arriving to this forum late in the discussion so please excuse my ignorance of past discussions. I am looking for an example of a barn find of an early 901 to write about, the Frank Beck car sounds like a good candidate, but did his reward offer work-- was the car ever recovered? Is this the one that had the fake title over in Europe? What is the procedure when someone has a stolen car that they bought thinking the title was OK? Did he have to pay the present day European owner to get it back? I hope this story has a happy ending.
Another candidate I am thinking of profiling is 300005 profiled in Flat Sixes
    here

that car is interesting in that it had the wrong model year attached to the title. I think in these early cars, sometimes the dealer (or factory) attached the model year the car was sold , not the year it was made. After you see the story, if anyone knows what Jay paid for it in 1984, I'd like to know for my story purposes.
