I haven't found any issues yet (no oil leaks or other) Only driving it on the property, it'll need a proper alignment.
The oil system holds 8 quarts as I calculated. Clutch feels great and easy to operate. This car will be a pleasure to drive.
The 901 shifts beautifully ! Better than my '86's 915 for sure.

It fired up after only a few cranks and on the second or third start idles like it's always been running. This car has been sitting so long it wants to go ! Maybe I should've named it Herbie.

I aligned this old Porsche today.

It feels mid engined, compared to my 1986 911.

It's truely a better tool in the twisties imo and a great (and pleasant) driver. It doesn't have that fatigue aspect. Shifts wonderfully.

    Pleasantly surprised.

Well that all folks, I'll miss you wild and crazy guys !!

Did you build a sheet metal enclosure, or just leave the engine bay open?

That's possible now that the engine is in.
Right now during break in i want access.
Not a drip anywhere so that'll happen soon with a bead roller. 911 fan needs restoration too i know.
Time to drive this 'shop car' now though as i have a '67 911 to do for a Pelican member.
A man on FB asked me if the car was an original R!
    I just clicked like.
    Thx for asking

Took it to be weighed on a scale the state calibrates every month. 1780 lbs with 8-9 gallons of fuel, tools but not steel spare. I can get it lighter with Lexan, and a few other tricks but i have an R style roll hoop, stock glass, steel doors, steel bumpers, some int/ext trims and somewhat heavy seats. Still amazing an R weighed 1710 lbs (with fuel?)

No I'm not pregnant, it's the shirt lol..

I've only pre aligned the stock suspension (string method) but it handles absolutely great.

Body feels rock solid. Not a single rattle.

The 2 liter is really torquey, and sings in its own song ( not like a flat 6, think 356 racer )

I'm happy to say i really like this old Porsche.

Wow, that's lightweight! I'm probably about an hour from you and have a set of corner balance scales if you need them.
