    You are right! After restoration the IDS were falsely coated with a gold finish liquid for conservation purposes.
    I talked to an carburator restoration company here in Gemany and they will soda blast it for me and recoat it without the gold colour.
    Thanks again for your tip, so everything will be as original as possible!
