Some VIN experts should head over to BAT and look at this car. quite a bit of VIN controversy and discussion of a possible rebody.

    Auction Description:

This 1973.5 Porsche 911T is a modified example equipped with a 3.2-liter Carrera engine and a 915 5-speed manual transaxle. The car retains its original narrow bodywork, as well as reportedly original floors. Extensive modifications have been performed during the current owner’s 11 years of ownership. Mechanical modifications include a set of SSI headers and heat exchangers, Stomski head studs, a WEVO classic 915 shifter assembly, and a performance chip from 911Chips. Suspension modifications include Bilstein RS front struts, 19mm drop spindles, Turbo tie-rods, poly-bronze bushings, and a bump-steer kit. The car also features fiberglass RS-style bumpers, 911R rear decklid hinges, 7″ wide Fuchs wheels, and a new leather interior with GTS Classic fixed-back seats and RS America door panels. This 911 is offered by the selling dealer with more than 80 pages of records back to the 1980s and a clean Oregon title in the current owner’s name.

The car has been repainted once in correct Glasurit light yellow (code 117), and the fiberglass front bumper has been refinished more recently to correct for stone chips. The front and rear bumpers are 2.7RS-style items, and the front bumper incorporates a front-mounted oil cooler. 7″ wide Fuchs wheels are fitted front rear, and have been refinished with matte-grey faces and wheel lips. Other body modifications include rubber hood and rear decklid hold-downs, 911R decklid hinges, H4 headlights, and RSR-style taillights. Alloy Talbot mirrors are fitted on both sides.

The interior has been fully re-trimmed in black leather, including the dash, dash insert and rear parcel shelf. Stock interior door panels and pulls have been replaced with black leather RS America items that incorporate speaker cutouts. The interior also features a full black carpet kit and set of Coco Mats. Other modifications include a Momo Prototipo wheel, a dead pedal and an aftermarket stereo receiver fitted in the stock location. The original adjustable-back seats have been replaced with fixed-back GTS Classic Nurburgring seats trimmed in perforated leather. The seats are mounted to adjustable rails. The instruments have been converted to LED lighting. 3000 miles are currently shown on the 6-digit odometer, though the true total is unknown. Per the seller, the current owner has added about 15k miles during their 11 year ownership.

The 1973.5 CIS-injected 2.4-liter flat six has been replaced with a 3.2-liter Carrera engine with Bosch Motronic fuel injection. The swap was handled by Rothsport in 2014 and also included Stomski head studs, a 915 5-speed manual transaxle with a new clutch, WEVO Classic 915 shifter and new shifter bushings. A high-torque starter is fitted. Recent services include new CV boots, a valve adjustment, and an alignment. The car was corner-balanced during the most recent alignment. 82 pages of records documenting both the modifications and services back to the 1980s are included. SSI headers and heat exchangers are installed, and the Carrera 3.2 heat exchangers have been backdated to work with the early-style heater. A performance chip from 911Chips is installed, and is programmed for the SSI header setup installed on the car. A dyno sheet from Rothsport is provided. The car produces 212 horsepower and 201 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Per the seller, the floors are all-original including the front pan. The trunk is pictured with the liner and Fuchs spare wheel in place.

The suspension was set up by Rennsport Systems, and includes Bilstein RS front struts with 19mm raised spindles and custom RSR valving, a Turbo tie-rod kit, and front and rear Carrera sway bar bushings. Elephant Racing’s poly-bronze bushings, front strut brace and bump steer kit are also installed. The brakes feature aluminum calipers from a 911S with stainless steel pistons. The chassis tag, the color tag on the driver’s door post are intact.
Seller did well on this one. I can't seem to find the post, but wasn't it listed here (or was it on PP) a couple of months ago with an ask of $75K?

    Auction Description:

*Prepared for Club or Vintage racing
*Built by Rothsport Road and Race
    *930/Boxster brakes
    *Light and very fast
    *Consistent class winner

This 1970 911T Karmann coupe was restored for street use circa 1999/2000, and then converted to a club-level racing car in 2004/2005 by Rothsport of Tualatin, Oregon. The original 2.2-liter six was replaced by an extensively-modified high-compression 2.7 that develops 240 horsepower at 6500 rpm with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and street gas. The Type 915 five-speed gearbox was race-prepared with a limited slip differential and WEVO shifter. The tub has a full rollcage, wrap-around Sparco "containment seat" with competition harness, safety netting for the driver's window and to the right of the driver, a quick-release steering wheel, and an external electrical cut-off switch.

There are 930 Turbo brakes in the back and Boxster brakes in the front. A front oil radiator was installed, as was an 11,000 rpm tachometer, in-car camera mounts, and wiring for two-way radio communication. There are steel 911SC rear quarter flares and Lexan side and quarter windows, fiberglass engine cover and IROC-style whale tail, front and rear valances. The car is fitted with 16-inch-diameter replica Fuchs-style alloy wheels, 7 inches wide in front and 8 inches wide in back.

The current owner states that this car proved very successful in competition, recording numerous class victories. The car was retired from active racing in 2012, and placed into dry storage with about two hours of running time on the engine. Reportedly, the car is started and driven monthly, and all fluids have been changed on an annual basis by AR Auto in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

This car is supplied with its original Owner's Manual, an additional set of powder-coated replica Fuchs wheels, invoices from the race conversion, a racing logbook through 2012, and other documentation. Prior to returning to competition, the car will require recommissioning with new tires and racing harness. For the amateur racer who wants to dip a toe into production-car-based racing, vintage racing with the addition of a fuel cell, or as a very quick "hot rod" 911 for autocross or time-trial, this Porsche would be an excellent starting point.
