let me know if you end up a little further south. If you come through Kingman and Barstow, i can suggest some pretty nice roads west of the 5. For Carmel i ran CA 58 from Tehachapi, 223 to 5, picked up 58 again and ran from McKintrick to Atascadero. From there i went over the hill to PCH and made the run from Morro Bay to Monterey. Some traffic, but i ran early so nothing much until Big Sur. Would love to tag along with you guys if you get as far south at the 15 and 40 intersection.

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)

I'm heading up on Thursday from Thousand Oaks. I'll be taking backroads but I do have a passenger seat open... Probably can't haul any luggage though.
