    Hi John,
Did you ever test the performance of the LEDs operating behind H1 lenses.
My H1's are good but as we know they are 1/2 century old technology and they are not Great compared to say my 2015 Audi A4.
I dont "show' my 72 but aesthetically I would like to keep the H1 lens "look" and run LEDs behind them. If you did test this set up what was your opinion of their performance.
Knight Driving I do a lot of down here in NZ so an upgrade would be great if my desired combo way out performed the the original H1s abilities.
    Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark...

I haven't tested H1 or H4 lenses as they have such a specific fluting pattern. I have tested the flat Bosch 4487 lenses that were used on the Euro SWB headlights and they work well - and retain a pretty original look.

I appreciate all the effort that is going into these much improved lighting systems. Notwithstanding, the single most cost effective upgrade that anyone can perform is to install a relay in the circuit regardless of what headlights are existing.
