We're Saved! Repro Hood Strut Decals

I just got an a-mail from Stoddard announcing we can finally buy SIC-511-001-00 Decal for Hood or Engine Lid Strut. Fits 911 912 1965-1968.

Had I ever known that my car originally had decals on its hood struts I might have obsessed over this. I can start now.

Seriously, it's always nice to have another part available, even one I never knew I needed. First, I need to get new hood struts (as usual).

Yes, Franz. They all came with date stamps, as you well know. Those stickers scream "I'M A FRIGGIN' REPOP"!

Wow- you guys are merciless. Comparing the new stickers against the old, I don't see the typos, nor can I see the spacing.

Not that it matters to me. I just want hood shocks that work, and I don't enter my 70 911 in Concours.

I can't imagine having a car that was so original something like dates on consumables would matter, but I know it is important to some. Still, you have to give Stoddard's credit for trying.
