Al well and good, but does anyone make the struts with the chrome (not black) rods?

Ok--if you folks had your druthers, would you want the bottom line to be printed or would you want that blank so you could ink stamp, if you're of the mind to?

I see that as three options:
    a) blank (have your fun)
    b) printed except for last little bit where you could ink stamp in 01/68 or whatever. (our original thought)
    c) printed with a date (a broken clock in this case is only correct once.)

Thank you! We could probably "age" the last line a little bit so it looks a little more like an ink stamp.

Question is when were these stickers on the struts. If only 68 and later, then c is preferable. As has been pointed out before, Porsche took whatever was on shelf. How would date even be relevant as to when owner purchased a replacement? Looks better if pre printed.

They were obviously prior to '72 as I have still have my original Stabilus Koblenz hood shocks on my car. Those were printed directly onto the strut. The original post says '65 to '68.

We are close to having these done. Biggest issue is the date code which means we would likely go with option B. Material, fonts and text will be correct unlike the Stoddard version. Seems that ever since they came under new management quality control has been lacking.
