experts needed !! 911 G modell Lightweight aluminium steering wheel 3 spoke

    experts needed !!

    Porsche G-modell steering wheel

    what i know :

    - aluminium build steering wheel
    - non centre hub ( same as the 2.7 Carrera and 3.0 turbo FAT Steering wheels )
    - longer NO grips on the side of the steering wheel ( alu)
    - steering wheel alu weight 1.45 KG hornbutton 320 Grams
    - steering wheel na weight 1.95 KG hornbutton 410 Grams

first thought was that is used to be a FAT 2.7 carrera / 3.0 turbo steering wheel but they are thicker and made like the normal steering wheel

maybe 3.0 RS ? ... who know something about it !!
if you want any close up picture's from a area feel free to ask

I'm certainly no expert but I don't think you have anything special. I've had a few of those in the past. I don't remember but is is entirely possible that they came on 928s.

    Regards

    Jim
PS: I pretty certain that I have one of those things still hanging around here. I'll try and find it.

Keep in mind if it's 928 it's a smaller shaft size than 911.

these are both the g-modell size shaft ( 21 MM)
i do have another aluminium steering wheel in ( 17 MM)
but it's seems odd to safe over 600 grams in total only on the steering wheel if it was for normal production ( because alumium was expensive compare to steel)
but maybe they have done it for 1-2 years in normal production... you never know with the guys from weissach

but would like to know everything there is to know

No Frank, 928s have the same size shaft. 924/944/968/964,993 etc, etc have a smaller shaft.

    Ciao

My mistake Jim. Should have known better than to go up against you.

OP, if you find the G spot I believe you will also discover what this wheel fits.
