last week i spent a couple of days at the porsche classic center gelderland in the Netherlands to eyeball 300113.--- a car that was completed the same day as 300096.
took +6000pics of it and a few of 300013. and i even got the pics the gelderland guys took during disassembling.

now it is time to publicly say thank you to Mark Wegh and his Team that has welcome me like i would be a new member of the team.

THANK YOU SO MUCH PORSCHE CLASSIC CENTER GELDERLAND--IT WAS A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE !!!!!!!!!!!

#113 is already taken apart and waiting for restoration--and this was perfect for me so i could take measurements and pics of every corner of the body and all other parts.

113 is in awsome original condition lots of rust tough but restorable...from the pics i have seen earlier i expected it to be worse than it really is.

prior my visit i prepared a long list of questions ... almost every open point is answerd now.the biggest questionmak left ,due to the level of rust on the underside ,is the correct surface finish for nuts and bolts on the suspension, brake lines ,etc...

the biggest surprise was the strange trunk seals--i noticed them on the pics i already had but i thought the original ones have been replaced somewhen and those mounted are incorrect ---they are not ---cause meanwhile i also have seen them on 300294(very original car) and an other 65.will add a pic later..maybe someone recognizes it and can tell if there is a source for those out there.
further there are no fender alignment bolts --neither on 113 nor on #13--instead there are 3 holes on both sides plugged with a nylon plug.
i also noticed that some details on the body are different to 96 which makes me think the body of 113 was not built in the same batch as 96.(if there ever where batches)

in the next weeks i will study the pics and im sure i will make some discoveries.

Great that all your questions are answered with 113. Mark is not only a professional, but also a real car guy.

also interesting to see that the jack reciever tube is slightly shorter than on later cars.

and an other detail i noticed is the support ... 67 still have the early version 70 already the new one

if you have a later style spare you can convert it simply by hammering...just did today
    The earliest support plate is with or without the vent? { Post # 40- page #4 }

How have you found this engine, and what is its current condition?

    Nice find, by the way.

    hi Samuel
all i can say at the moment is that the engine found us...

i`m not much of an engine specialist. about its current condition i would say it`s dusty.
i did not have much time today to have a closer look since i had a busy day at the paint shop...i will try to update as soon as possible(didn`t i write this already a year ago?)
