Let me know if I can help, call me anytime, I thoroughly inspected that car in Wiesbaden at a previous owners house last year, wanted to buy it but all the modifications and/or later years parts threw me off considering his price range. I have a lot of pictures available if needed.
Are you aware of the engine number issue?

    Cheers, Henk.
    Henk

after i inspected the car at gelderland (pre purchase) i recomended NOT to buy this car for the reasons you mentioned
and yes we are aware of the engine issue.

maybe i should have a closer look at my rotten fuel tanks...never reuse the strainers ...
    yep--thanks for offering your help.

    time for a short update...

i sourced almost all parts missing or incorrect.

    deck lid grill,steering damper,hood chrest,64 steering rack,headlights,correct nuts and bolts,etc..
the only hard to find parts are the grey vac formed drip pan...the one i sold just a few days before i got this project..
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...648#post826648
and the early pre production interior mirror

so if you have some of this stuff for sale let me know.

status of the restoration is that i still have not decided if i go for acid dip and cataphoretic painting
or striping paint by water jet

floor pan is almost finished(also on the inside) only need to know the number position of the metal straps that hold the brake lines.
front fenders(like new 68 ones) are mostly converted to 64
    door corpuses also.

so far all metal pices i welded in are original parts...and there are plenty of those if you convert a g-mod rhd floor pan
still looking for the correct front slam panel or section of it.

progress is slow but i want to get it all done correct

This is a good one to watch. Franz's metal work is excellent.

Just so you know - Restoration Design is making a new "front lip" panel, the part that holds the front bumper to body seal against the nose panel. This new part will be the 65-early73 type with no drain holes. I have been helping them with details from my original cars so it comes out correct. I don't think it is done yet but very soon.

Over the last few years I have finally convinced them to remake their rocker panel molds so we can finally get good replacement rocker panels with correct drain holes rather than the bad Dansk type shape. Took forever to find a NOS green rocker panel to scan but I finally did late last year. This is still in the works but I will post more info when I get the first rockers out of the press.

So there are 3 pieces that will not need to fabricated.

Ah, does it remove rust? Or are you only trying to remove paint?
