    WTB: slit lock-nuts

These lock nuts were originally issued on early 911s to fasten the lower rear shock bolts, as well as the forward trailing arm bolt, both are 14mm . They may have also seen some usage in the same locations on SCs. I have two cars to fix up, and I want the correct fasteners for them and have had a tough time rounding these up. There is a full-height version and a shorter version that is 9mm tall. Let me know what you have, thank you!

I believe that you are looking for:
    PET '65-68 911 Fig 5-01, #05 900.084.015.02 Hex nut, M14x1,5 Qty: 2
They were superceded to plain M14 hex nuts, N0212253, which list at $3.08

I make similar, shorter titanium Uni-stop lock nuts that were used on the prototypes (904-). Shown below are M14x1.5 LH & RH. If you are unable to find any for your car, send me a PM & I can produce some for you.

    Peter -
My '72-'73 parts book calls them out as 999.084.033.02 (Uni-Stop U 112, 14x1.5) for the lower shock mount and 900.084.014.02 (Uni-Stop 14x1.5) for the forward trailing arm mount. The local dealer, very helpful, said N/A. Thanks!

    Jimmy T -
Very cool lathe work there! I tried to source some similar nuts from a place in Europe. They said "no stock" even though, typically, they were shown on their site. Upon inquiring, they said I have to buy 100, at $X each, blah, blah. I do have an overseas fabrication connection, and have give some thought to making a print and shipping it to them for a quote. For two cars, at this point I think it's easier to scrounge up some from the 911S registry. We'll see, I guess! Thanks!

I apologize for misinterpreting your early 911 reference. The nuts pictured in my post above are replacements for:
    917 Fig 4/01, #48 999.084.014.02 Uni-Stop nut, RH, 14x1,5 verz. Qty: 8
They are priced at the last Porsche list price before becoming NLA, $10.77.

Surely there are hundreds of these in "hardware buckets". Please look in yours for me, thanks!
