Yesterday my wife and I took the '72 T on a local PCA drive through the back roads around here. About 160 miles. Outside temp was about 85°F much of the day. While the T was a factory A/C car, none of that is currently installed. So it was windows down, quarter windows popped. And we loved it. Great ventilation, good air flow, not noisy, and no buffeting. Can't get that in a modern car. Even our prior 911 (an '84 Carrera coupe) couldn't compare—without the ability to pop open the quarter windows, the Carrera was noisy and gusty inside with the windows down.

I will put the A/C back in my car, since it was factory original. But it won't be high priority, as it's not needed.

For those of you too young to have ever been to a sports car race in the 50s , early 60s you have (probably) never experienced the fragrance of a classic race car when they typically used the Castrol vegetable-based oil. I use a little Blendzall (1/2 oz/gal) with the fuel for the guides...it has the same smell. The car has that wonderful aroma after a workout. Not necessarily unique to the 911, but when I open the door and breathe in the "Made in West Germany" the combination is pretty special.Name: x9.jpg
