Porsche Classic Hood Badges - Failure # 2

Some advice please fellow early 911 enthusiasts.

Stories about the quality of repro badges have been circulating for a while now - so I won't cry over spilt milk, but I've just had my second one fail this morning. After 13 months. The car is garaged and covered most of the time - and I've probably done 2000 miles in that time.

Porsche replaced the first without any problems under warranty - the service at the official Porsche centre was exemplary..... I could not have been happier. The parts guys were great and the dealer techs who insisted on installing it loved working on my 68 911L... stopping to have a quick talk about the car with me.

Can anyone advise the part number of the later badge that (while its not correct colour wise for an early car) is far less likely to fail? Or a replacement with the correct colouring that won't fall apart?

Wish me luck with my local dealer - I'm hoping that their service will again be exemplary - but I need to be prepared just in case its not going to be replaced.

Over to you guys for your sage advice!

How did it fail? Pin break off, color chip off?

Some color fell off mine somewhere during the round trip to RRV.

The colour (red) fell out.... on both occasions.
