I think 1970-73 Porsche 911 OEM Fog Light Wiring might be 911.612.027.00. If so I have a nos still in packaging example in storage, but it is not for sale. Late here so don't have part book or item to hand to double check. Ill dig it out and post a picture tomorrow, if it helps ?

    Hi Mac911

Here is a picture of parts list from the model 1972/3 parts book 1/73 issue. There is also a ground cable for some US and Japan apparently but don't have that item as not required for my model or market.

Also several pictures of the nos item 911 612 027 00 that I mentioned. Packet never opened so didn't bust it open for shots but you can see it, hopefully. Some minor differences to the reproduction part shown above for those interested in oem correct details.

PS there is a different "additional cable for fog lights" used on all versions of Swiss-market cars only for some reason but presumably this does not apply since you mention a 73.5 car.

I have a 1973 911 T that I want to install TTG lights. A question for the experts. Which TTG driving lights were optioned in 73? I've seen so many different ones. I'd like to install some that are period correct. Also I have heard that if they were factory installed they came with chrome grills rather than cut black grills. Can some one verify if that's correct?

    911MRP:
That is the correct part number for the fog/light harness. I was able to source one in the U.S. Thanks for the picture.

    Thanks

I thought that for lights should be as low as possible that that the light goes under the fog

Shouldn't driving lights be installed in TTG?

Hella 118 (w. halogen H3 bulbs) for euro delivered cars, and TN4 (fog lights) (w. tungsten bulbs) for US delivered cars.

That is believed to be correct. But I guess it looks a bit odd if all other trim on the car is black. Someone posted a pic of a set of black plastic horn grills with cut-outs for ttg´s once, believed to be factory, but I can´t find the thread. Could have been a very special order item.

Thank you Thomas for your quick response.

Do you know if the Hella TN4 lights were the same one used on a 914 (black housing) or did they come with chrome housing for the 911's?

Confirmed. See picture of my (former) 73.5T Targa with factory-installed TTG fog lights and chrome grills.

Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

    Yes and Yes.

Same TN4 lights used on both US 911 and 914. The only difference being the case finish. Black paint for the 914 and chrome for the 911.
