    Still trying to figure out if the manual I posted a picture of is the FIRST 911 Owner's
    manual published in German.

    i think that this is in fact the first 911 manual.
    same as the first 356 manuals were undated
    next manual from 1/65 is dated and the small technische daten is from 10.64 ( but in the undated version there is already a technische daten section)
    i can't think of any other reason why the undated W312 should'nt be the first 911 owners manual

    other question, and maybe off topic, but should the first 911 owners manual came with the 356 styl red vinyl case ( with 'porsche' right above) or the 911 vinyl case ( crest )

    I just want to point out that my Driver's manual isn't dated 1/65 it says I/65 (Roman Numeral):

    I can't find a printing date in it.

    Also, in Post #10 carlito posted a scan of an Italian language version that has III/65.

    My 911 (301382, probably built May 1965) came to me with all its original documents in a maroon folder with a maroon inside (as opposed to blue) with the Porsche Crest on it.
