    I haven't written anything about the value of wheels. I have enough trouble keeping up with the cars.

    I don't think Harvey is selling those wheels. I think the seller is mentioning Harvey because they were done by the best guy in the business. It's sort like saying your car was restored by Paul Russell. If you take the time (and money) to have the best person restore your you can probably sell the car for more. It's sort of a certification of authenticity.

    Right now though a restoration is not going to bring the big money. Original preserved cars with lots of documentation is what's bring the money.

    We're getting very close to the art world. Most of the practices of the art world seem to eventually filter down to the car world. We're still dealing in little bitty numbers though. Keep in mind that the Chairman of Sotheby's went to prison and was fined $7.5 million for some questionable auction practices.

    We aren't even close to that level in this business - yet.
