1966 cam towers are not rare. For $2300 I would also expect first month's rent for free on one of the seller's rental properties.

Depends on if youre buying or selling how outrageous a price is BUT Ive been seeing a spike in nutty prices lately by the "usual suspects".

Don't you just wish you could get an honest answer from some of these sellers as to their motive though? It's one thing to price uber rare NOS pieces that literally have no comparison. Quite another thing to price orinary objects at extraordinary prices.

It's either greed, Lotto mindset, or ignorance. (PC term is now "naivety".)

    Or...

    one other:

    Complete apathy.

I tend to fall into the last category.

    Frank,
I am having a problem imagining the category you fall onto.

That ^ almost seems reasonable actually, compared to what people pay for a screwdriver or other esoteric bits nowadays. It is *spectacularly* ugly, however ;-) Not sure how a purple suitcase would help you win a concours ;-)

But you need to start with a car with an assorted burgundy interior.
Mine is a bigger model (of suitcase, I mean).
