My 72 only has one light, like in your picture. Build date 5/72 as per the tag in the door jam. So it is wrong?

if your hood has two openings for lights put two in cheaper cause if it came from the factory with only the one light the other opening had a color matching cardboard with 2 white plastic rivets holding it on. You would be very hard press to find then, as I've only seen two covers up for sale in the last 10 years not that I'm looking for one.

Maybe not I thought the change was 73 model but your car is very late 72 so anything is possible from back in the day
