Thread: 911S Resurrection Not Restoration

  1. #321
The other day observe for the first time "this defect" in my car, the flared wing at the point indicated in the drawing does not match perfectly. The drawing is not my car but you can see that same effect in which you can see the widening and union with the body.
Examining more photos we see the following ...
Finally we have the same car (if I'm not confused) restored now, where that detail that I observe has been lost?
    **
I copy the publication I've made on the facebook page. Maybe my eye is seeing something that does not exist and is perfect in all cars but as I see, at that point and seeing various images of the forum I have seen this, in various cars.
I have taken the photos of the forum, I hope it does not cause problems with it and if so, I would like to inform me to modify it!

No, someone should be included in this thread of "scams" for trying to pass a 911T for a 911S / T (€ 60k vs € 1.5 million)

Are you dyslexic ??? , look what I do !!!
Just to tell you that I thought you were a sexual degenerate because you like "Dardepie"
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and so I can go on .... Grief and anger walk away from all these people to deal with these issues personally and face to face! Through networks everything is much easier, for those who insult.
My user in that forum is DarpeDie from there the joke, this for me, is the one that best reflects the harmony they have with me, with my car! I encourage you to go there and see my comments, theirs and also take a part of the history of the vehicle (those who are interested in knowing about it). That said, I just have to say goodbye. I will return with some work in the escape I hope and with some new video.
also as I comment, what I call 911T my car is new but I had already mentioned it a month before. Reviewing the photos I made to this guy's post disqualifying me I could see and you can still see that he named my car as 911S. We're talking about 2017. Why do we want to make people see now that it's a 911T?Are S less valuable than a T?Are STs more supported in T?I think he wants to do this to take away "iron" / strength from the preparation of my car, but that ... They are my perceptions.
Greetings and to follow the path !!

For that "rectangle" of metal in the construction of the piece ST? A union? Sorry for not having updated this, but these days have been somewhat moved for me. Sadly I have to announce that I will be away from the car for a few months for learning / work reasons. Maybe, if the thing goes well have more momentum to return, or perhaps this more bundled in that business idea. The fact is that I will try to do things before I "go", taking into account that summer is coming a little quieter thinking that there will be no sudden attacks of humidity. I would like to leave everything detailed in photos before being far away, so ... Does anyone think that I miss something interesting by photographing this car? I thought about taking some papers to the peninsula that is where I will go, but I do not know what would be useful for me since the official dealers do not help me much, at least, here on the island ... It's all in Germany.Anyway, apologize for this part of the work in epoxy, I've lost something hand in this time and there are some drops that I hope to sand tomorrow or last ... I hope you enjoy the photos at least!Saluds

I have cleaned one of the oil circuits. At one point it is bent, possibly supporting a "hydraulic jack". My question is, can this cause an overexertion in the oil pump and cause it to break a bearing (in my mind the last one that connects to the transmission since I see some oil) I have not gone through there to check it but I think that being somewhat clogged the oil line could have to do with the "engine break".I have also been with my brother and some friends working in the capo! We have managed to strip it whole so I leave the photos. As data and something that I fall into now. Porsche used a black primer before the yellow paint. Does anyone know about this? Since in almost all the restorations I see that we start with "white" epoxy ... You can also see the defect of one of the auxiliary headlights of the capo, "the side" touched is not well finished while the other headlight is perfect. The accident was after the preparation ...?

We start from the repaired part.
My father had a touch with this side and the repair that was made despite being in the official center was a little botched. You can see the pictures of the inside, as they cut and pasted something that will be repaired over time. The interesting thing about today's work is that area, and not that repair work.

I could appreciate beforehand a somewhat poor welding in the union of the flare and the body. Today, picking and following that seam I find a much better job that would correspond to the same work that was done in the hood (same mastics). You can see the lead tin patch that I had to favor the figure of the ST without fillers, putties that as you can see in the photos were added to later either by the repainted or by the primer. Also observing the other direction is a much cleaner welding although if we go to that area we see that it has been repaired. I rely on the yellow colors and the "pink" putty to understand that this area has been "kept" original, also notes that in those original areas the putty was minimal.I understand that the other part of the lead tin patch was removed in the repair of the guardalodos since until now I thought that the construction and welding of them would be tin-free lead since I had not yet been able to observe it in them ....What is your opinion?I keep putting all the flare hand to finish seeing your sewing?Saluds!

I miss part of the work I observe those black circles? Have I been with the heat gun without realizing it? They seem too ordered to be that. Any other idea?Name: IMG_20190407_224257.jpg

I summarize the opinion of the Spanish porschista:The flares are aftermarketThe welds are wrongThe flares do not have the proper shape.the flares are not welded in the corresponding place.Pink putty was not used by manufacturesThe preparation may have been made by a forger from some town, literally and I wonder. This message reaches my profile without me asking for an opinion ... Something is talking about it not being a GR3 kit either and that is something I have not named. It bothers me that a forum that agreed not to talk about my car continues to do so. Yesterday without going any further I have been re-quoted but this time naming my car as an official ST EX between laughs ... Do you have any opinion? from my point of view the widening works are not bad. Or if?
