Thread: 911S Resurrection Not Restoration

Here in Spain and other places .... It is believed that the sunroof is always an extra weight without any advantage in preparations for races or rally ... I have seen several sunroof as it is often necessary to cool the cabin by means of something other than just the windows ... This video had not seen it but you can see a 911 prepared and with sunroof ... Anyone have any information on where this car finished? I have collected the video of the page of Scheunenfund5 https://www.facebook.com/70srallyvid...5635604382208/ and it is of year 74!

Although there is a lot left for this, I want to touch on the theme of car painting. We already know by what color we have decided and it will be the original of manufacture ... In the subject of painting, Porsche provides the original painting 117 if asked to paint the car? Or is there a way to go to try to find something that resembles that yellow?

Looking through my father's old messages, I found a conversation with a gentleman who spoke with Porsche France and who gave us his answer. Thank you very much for that.
For what they send me, is it possible that I detail more data than the ones that porsche Spain informed us? An extra of more and some information a little more extended.
I added it to the beginning of the post to make the comparison with Porsche Spain.
    Greetings from the Canary Islands!

I have taken the stuttcars page as a reference for the "extras" but I do not see that part of the extras coincide. Others are not ... The 568 that refers to the tinted windows does not appear on the page. I was also struck by the extra 482
Engine compartment light. What light was this?

    reuse parts fabric?

Hello again. I would like someone to shed some light on this issue and this question. It is possible that Porsche when making its vehicles reuse parts of other vehicles?

Hi, I think you can discard the idea of post-western preparation. If it had been that way, I believe that the defect of the repair in the capo had been filled with tin. can this be so? I remember when I decapped the capo the putty removal from that place

Today I have been emptying the oil tank. I thought I would find small pieces of metal as I saw in the photos attached to the screw. But no, I have not found much. Not even in the oil. When my father stopped the car he made a metallic noise inside the engine with each revolution ... I thought that it would be scratched some piston or some bearing. For now I think the engine could have had the loss of pressure and that noise due to some boring bearing giving axial clearance.

    it can be possible?

how to add. I made a souvenir for my room taking advantage of the engine oil
There was very little oil in the tank

Is that a spigot installed on the bottom of the oil tank?

No, nooo apologize if the translator did not translate well! What you see is the "souvenir" that I have done. It's a glass boat where I've saved part of the car's oil!

Based on your description and my past experience, your engine is pending a rebuild. Hope this helps.

Correctly! Something is wrong inside so when there is something saved and everything is not done in taxes, it is time to get the engine and see what happens. In the facebook they have told us that the crankshaft may have this match ... I think this already I speak it here and I doubt it. Although in my ignorance .... I go with my father to Matias Molina to see if he follows the man with whom he bought the car in Las Palmas. See how much you charge for downloading and what types of "offers" can be made since I do not know how much time the engine will be spent outside or how it can be inside.
There was not a pint in the oil tank. Some explanation? My father lost pressure of oil but he told me at the time that he saw no oil stain.
Thank you very much for the attention 72Targa!!

I have been cleaning the delco. I appreciated that turning it manually turns the crankshaft and this makes the movement that I have shown in the video. I guess that movement is not normal and I have encouraged to dismount to see what was below. I appreciate the chain of the motor and when turning I see how everything turns without problem .... My father tells me (and I am beginning to believe it) that it could be that a camshaft broke up? Since the car worked but had no force ... Could this be ascertained by disassembling the rocker cover on the bottom sides? Make it clear that the engine will not be sprained until it is lowered and tuned ... It's just curiosity
