    Love the 924 racers. Lowly street car to full up racer in best tradition of Porsche. Not the most durable I hear but very cool nonetheless. One of my favorite racing pics is a rally 924 driven by Rohrl...

    I must admit I think they look great on it....it is set up to rally with 2 spares in the rear as you can see from the first pictures, I assume the Fuchs was the lightest and strongest rim available to use in '79....?

    Having said that, they had a pretty good support team for spares- a pair of Kombis that traversed Australia during the rally. Here's a pic that Jurgen Barth shared with me. I have checked the rego numbers, and these two VW's are not currently registered in Victoria. Some folks some where no doubt have an ex-Round Australia Rally Kombi sitting in a shed....

    Home....

    Having been domicilled in Sydney since Rennsport I finally drove the 924 Grp 4 home to Adelaide 1400 kms across NSW, Victoria and South Australia this week....
