    Drive to Work Insurance Options

My car is not a garage queen and I often drive it to work but I've discovered that it is not covered by Hagerty for such usage - I really should have known that but I'm stupid. What are my options if I want to drive it to work? Purchase a regular policy and suffer the loss if its totaled?

I too have Hagerty and am OK with this restriction, however, there are a number of other insurers of classic/antique autos that may have an allowance for 'occasional' trips to work. I am struggling to come up with other recommendations beyond Grundy or Chubb Insurance at the moment, but that's a start and easily found on the internet. A quick call to them should answer your question.

So far all of the classic insurers do not allow you to use your classic for trips to work which is a shame but understandable

When I am out on a pleasure drive sometimes I drive past the office but always on my day off.

Here's an article I did last year about insurance. At the end of the article there are about 10 different companies that insure collector cars.

It seems every company has a different set of rules. You really have to shop around.

Is your car insured while it's in a trailer?
