    seat belt latch / passenger side or driver side ?

    I say passenger. what say the brethren ?

    Well, that would make me very wrong (again) as I always assumed these mounted so that you pushed down on the button. Can one of the resident experts enlighten us?

    my '69 car has gone down the road, but I *thought* it was a case of "...pull the red button up with your fingers vs. push it down w/ your thumb..."

    901 is correct. Pull it up with your finger.

    Passenger side, red lever on the bottom and pull up is so much easier to disengage the buckle. Will fit both sides of course but a bit fiddly using it upside down.
