    Nope! On most 69s, it is the drivers side and it is used as a passenger side by turning it upside down. Later Porsche made "handed" ones so you would push the lever down on both sides. It may be easier to pull the lever up but it isn't easily seen by a 1st timer.

    Very interesting Jim about the 69's. Had a look in the 69 spare parts manual and that shows both sides receivers, 901.803.129.26 (L) and 130.26 (R). I must admit that manual was printed in 1972 but can't believe that they added/changed from one side fits all to two different parts. Could be that after the initial 1968 build batch of REPA belts and receivers the factory added the passenger side.

    interesting. Every part on these seat belts that i have restored is handed. The exception being the rear plastic cover. Even the plastic washer inside are handed.
