Need help with value of 2.2S engine and transmission

I'm not very up to date on early S parts, so I'd like to ask those here who are in touch with values about the fair market price of a 2.2S engine and transmission. I'm told (from a trustworth source) it was running when removed almost 15 years ago for a 3.6 upgrade on a S Targa. I know who would do that today? It had carbs (MFI long since removed) which are not on the engine. It's got the complete exhaust and engine tins (which aren't much value if I put it in a 914). It's been stored in a heated shop for the entire time. I hope to get the serial numbers soon, which I will add to this thread. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

Anyone? There's also a 2.2E engine with MFI (less distributor), and another 2.2E that's a bare long block. The 2nd E has never been rebuilt or opened up.

    I'll throw out an opinion...

$9K to $11K as it sits...

    Rebuild costs unknown...

    Cost to replace MFI $6K...

Total package worth much more to the matching chassis...

    Fire when ready...
